Slipknot is making waves in 2024 with the announcement of Knotfest Iowa on September 21 at Water Works Park in Des Moines. What’s cool is that this park is right by downtown Des Moines, where Slipknot rocked out back in 2000 during the Tattoo the Earth tour, adding a nostalgic touch to the event.
Knotfest Iowa marks Slipknot’s return to their home state after four years, and it’s going to be a special “one night only 25th anniversary celebration,” fitting perfectly with their recent activities.
The lineup for Knotfest Iowa is stacked, featuring not just Slipknot but also awesome acts like Till Lindemann, Knocked Loose, Hatebreed, Poison The Well, Gwar, Vended, Dying Wish, Zulu, Twin Temple, Holy Wars, Swollen Teeth, Spine, and Dose.
Slipknot kicked off 2024 with two gigs, first at the cozy Pappy + Harriet’s and then at the larger Sick New World festival. Both shows marked the debut of their new drummer, Eloy Casagrande, who’s killing it behind the kit.
