SEPULTURA’s ANDREAS KISSER Says He’s Open To Play With MAX And IGGOR CAVALERA Again

SEPULTURA’s guitarist Andreas Kisser recently hinted at a possible reunion with Max and Iggor Cavalera for a final show, though he acknowledges it’s a long shot.

In an interview on Transamérica radio’s Conectados program in São Paulo, Andreas discussed the idea of getting back together with the Cavalera brothers.

He said, “I think the idea of a last and final show, including all the members, even the Cavalera brothers, would be interesting.” He mentioned other past members like Jean Dolabella, Eloy Casagrande, Jairo Guedz, and guest musicians like Roy Mayorga. However, he added, “But man, this is something that… this will be a little later. I would really like to invite everyone, but that doesn’t just depend on us.”

When talking about his relationship with Max, Andreas mentioned seeing him several years ago at a festival. He emphasized that there’s no animosity between them, saying, “We don’t have this aggressiveness or hatred thing. I don’t hate Max at all, I respect Max and Iggor a lot. If it happens, it will be beautiful. But also, if it doesn’t happen, we’ll celebrate it the same way.”

Igor Cavalera also spoke about the potential reunion, highlighting that his priority is being united with his brother. He expressed that while it would be amazing, the most important reunion for him is with his brother.

SEPULTURA bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. echoed similar sentiments about a reunion with Max, stating that it would need to happen naturally. He mentioned that they haven’t had contact with Max in years and that they’ve all moved on separate paths.

As for SEPULTURA’s current activities, they kicked off their farewell tour with a new touring drummer in March.
