OZZY OSBOURNE On His Chances To Play Live Again: “I Would Love To, But I Can’t Stand Up Right”

In a recent chat with Rolling Stone magazine, Ozzy Osbourne shared his thoughts about being nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame solo. He felt honored by the nomination but didn’t expect to win against big names like Mariah Carey, Cher, and Lenny Kravitz.

“It’s making me a bit crazy. It’s cool to be nominated, but I’m not holding my breath. Mariah Carey, Cher, Lenny Kravitz – tough competition. If I get in, great. If not, oh well,” Ozzy said.

Despite his doubts about the Hall of Fame, Ozzy is keen on making more music. He’s eagerly waiting for producer Andrew Watt’s call. Andrew has been working with Lady Gaga, and Ozzy is itching to get back in the studio: “I’m just waiting for Andrew Watt to ring me up. He’s been busy with Lady Gaga. I’m itching to make more tunes.”

When asked about performing live again, Ozzy mentioned his physical limitations and how he can’t stand for long periods: “I’d love to, but my body won’t cooperate. Maybe someday. I miss it a lot.

In a previous interview with Rolling Stone UK, Ozzy talked about his approach to future shows: “Taking things day by day. If I can perform again, I will. But it’s like saying goodbye to a great love. Initially, I was angry with myself, the doctors, and the world for stopping tours. But now, I’m learning to accept it.”

I won’t go on stage as a half-hearted Ozzy seeking pity. What’s the point? I won’t roll out in a wheelchair either. I saw Phil Collins perform, and he’s dealing with similar issues. He performs in a wheelchair, but that’s not for me,” he added.
