Kerry King is diving headfirst into his solo career. While Slayer has a few reunion shows lined up, King has a ton of solo tour dates scheduled after his first album, “From Hell I Rise,” drops later this month. And what’s next? Another album, of course!
In an interview with The Aquarian, King talked about his passion for performing and how he’s itching to hit the studio as soon as the tour ends. He’s already told drummer Paul Bostaph that he wants to start recording right away.
“It’s not the traveling I love; it’s the playing,” King explained. “I enjoy going to different cities, but the journey can be a hassle. I’d be fine never traveling again, but performing is where it’s at for me. I’m excited about our shows and the more we practice, the more songs we have for the future. I’m pumped.”
He’s all set to make album number two happen. With his bandmates like Death Angel’s Mark Osegueda, former Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph, guitarist Phil Demmel from Vio-Lence and Machine Head, and bassist Kyle Sanders from Hellyeah, King’s gearing up for a busy and productive time ahead.
