After a rigorous search among over 10,000 applicants, Smashing Pumpkins has found their new guitarist in seasoned instrumentalist Kiki Wong. Known for her work with artists like Taylor Swift, Usher, and Bret Michaels, Kiki brings her talent to join bassist Jack Bates and guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Katie Cole on the band’s upcoming tour.
Billy Corgan, the mastermind behind Smashing Pumpkins, expressed gratitude to all the musicians who auditioned. “It was a tough decision with so much incredible talent,” he said. “Kiki stood out even before she applied. Her skill and style will be a great addition to our touring lineup. I’m excited to hit the road with Kiki and the rest of our crew. It’s an exciting time for Smashing Pumpkins to be busy with touring in 2024. See you all this summer!”
Kiki Wong shared her excitement, saying, “It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m incredibly honored to play alongside rock legends.
