MARK TREMONTI Names The CREED Song He Wants To Start Playing Live

Creed is making a big comeback in 2024 with an extensive tour and possibly some new music. In a recent interview with Ultimate Guitar, Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti expressed his desire for the band to start playing “Time” from their 2009 album Full Circle. Tremonti mentioned that *Full Circle* hasn’t received the same love as their earlier work, and the band hopes to bring more attention to it during their upcoming shows.

“We’ve talked about maybe playing ‘Ode’ from the first album,” said Tremonti. “A lot of fans have requested ‘Stand Here With Me’ and ‘Hide.’ But our favorite song is ‘Time’ from the Full Circle album. I think that record was overlooked, and we want to make people more familiar with it. So, we’ll start playing more of those songs, and who knows, we might even play every song we’ve ever recorded.”

Full Circle is Creed’s least performed album live, with “Time” only being played 18 times in total. Tremonti shared why “Time” is his favorite track from the album. “The mood it sets is incredible, and it features some of my favorite guitar work. The song is in Open G Minor tuning, which has brought me many great moments. I used the same tuning for ‘Words Darker Than Their Wings’ with Alter Bridge and a song on my new Tremonti album. This tuning allows for unique chord voicings that you can’t get with other tunings. I just love it.”
