LITA FORD Announces Early 2024 U.S. Tour Dates

The DeadMike.com YouTube channel recently uploaded videos from Lita’s concert on December 16 at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, Texas. Lita, in a conversation with Robert Miguel from Uvalde Radio Rocks, discussed the delays in her upcoming album, attributing them to the complexities of the music industry and the need to align various elements before release. She expressed optimism about a 2024 release, having found the missing pieces she needed this Thanksgiving.

Lita’s new album, a follow-up to 2012’s “Living Like A Runaway,” sees Gary Hoey returning as guitarist/producer. The album also features her longstanding band members – Patrick Kennison, Bobby Rock, and newly joined bassist Marten Andersson, replacing Marty O’Brien.

In a separate interview with “THAT Rocks!” hosted by Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine, and Don Jamieson, Lita shared the challenges faced during the album’s production, including the loss of her manager and songwriting partner. Despite these setbacks, they recorded drum tracks in Minneapolis amidst the tumult of Black Lives Matter and COVID-19, infusing these experiences into the album. She hinted at a potential March 2024 release and negotiations with Frontiers Music Srl.

Lita also revealed plans for a “rock guitar opera” theatrical show to support the album in 2024, hoping to include Gary Hoey in the tour. She expressed pride in the album’s guitar work, comparing it to legendary duos like Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter, or Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing, and described it as some of the best guitar playing in decades.

Besides her music, Lita released an autobiography titled “Living Like A Runaway: A Memoir” eight years ago, through Dey Street Books. Her last album, “Time Capsule” (2016), was a collection of previously unreleased tracks.
