Prepare for an electrifying spectacle as Dethklok announces their eagerly anticipated “Mutilation on a Spring Night” tour, set to kick off this April and May. Joining forces with them on this epic journey is none other than the virtuosic Dragonforce and the mischievous Nekrogoblikon. With tickets now available, fans are clamoring to secure their spot for what promises to be a night of unparalleled mayhem and metal mastery.
Brendon Small, the visionary behind Dethklok, shares his excitement for the upcoming tour, emphasizing the joy of witnessing bands that revel in the art of guitar and onstage theatrics. “I love bands that celebrate guitar and bands that have a lot of fun onstage,” Small exclaims. “For this tour, I think it makes sense to have a lot of dragons, goblins, and ‘kloks together. If you’re going to do this, you gotta go big and over the top. This is going to be a very fun show for people.”
Reflecting on the flurry of Dethklok activity, Small acknowledges the challenges inherent in bringing such ambitious projects to fruition. “I knew taking on this project meant I’d have to wring everything out of the sponge to make it all work,” he admits. “But this is how I have fun, putting it together, and having the luxury of writing, directing, producing, and making music for something and seeing it all the way through.”
Small underscores the importance of collaboration and the sense of pride that comes from delivering a complete artistic vision. “When you have great collaborators, everyone elevates each other,” he says. “I have to deliver everything I can, so I’m proud of it, and they are proud to participate in it.”
As excitement builds for the tour, Small hints at the transient nature of Dethklok’s live performances. “This is a very fun time with the tour, the album, and the movie,” he shares. “I don’t know if Dethklok will be touring forever. So, it’s important for people to know they should get it while it’s hot.”
