On Monday’s episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg closed out the show with a passionate message aimed directly at the audience — and at President Donald Trump.
In a dramatic sendoff, Goldberg called on Americans to take to the streets and speak out, claiming that Trump is violating the Constitution and his oath of office on a regular basis. She even hinted that impeachment could be on the table if Democrats win back the House in the 2026 midterms.
“If you have to check the Constitution every time you make a decision, maybe you shouldn’t be president,” Whoopi said. “Don’t act like we’re the ones who don’t get it. You know your job — and you’re not doing it. That’s a violation of your oath.”
Co-host Sunny Hostin, a former federal prosecutor, chimed in with her own frustration. “When I took the oath to uphold the Constitution, it meant something,” she said. “And it should mean even more when you’re the President of the United States.”
Hostin focused on the Fifth Amendment, pointing out that even undocumented immigrants are guaranteed due process under U.S. law. “You can’t just round people up and deport them without giving them their legal rights,” she emphasized.
Ana Navarro added a jab of her own: “Maybe when Trump took the oath, he thought he was promising to take control of the country — not protect it. If he can’t uphold the Constitution, he needs to step down.”
Goldberg ended her remarks by encouraging viewers to get involved and make their voices heard — comparing today’s political climate to past movements for civil rights and women’s rights.
“This is the moment,” she said. “If you care about your future, your Social Security, your rights — get out there. Speak up. March. The only way to show you won’t put up with this is to say, loud and clear, that you won’t.”
