“Tom Homan Readies Criminal Case Against AOC After She Challenges Him”

Tensions are rising between former Border Czar Tom Homan and progressive Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) as Homan looks into potential legal action against the legislator. He accuses her of hindering federal immigration enforcement, particularly through her recent “Know Your Rights” webinar aimed at helping undocumented individuals navigate the system.

In a February 14, 2025, appearance on The Ingraham Angle, Homan told host Laura Ingraham that AOC’s actions were obstructing efforts to locate, detain, and deport illegal immigrants. He mentioned reaching out to the Department of Justice to determine whether her actions were crossing legal boundaries and how they might address the situation.

Ingraham asked Homan about AOC’s webinar, questioning whether it was giving undocumented immigrants strategies to avoid apprehension. Homan acknowledged that while he wasn’t a lawyer or prosecutor, he was working with the Department of Justice to understand whether AOC’s actions were interfering with law enforcement operations. He added that if it turns out her actions were impeding federal immigration efforts, it could have serious consequences, including potential loss of federal funding for sanctuary cities.

Homan also warned New York and other states with sanctuary policies that ICE would continue its operations even if local governments chose not to cooperate. He emphasized that the Trump administration would take action if local leaders refused to ensure community safety.

In response, AOC reportedly fired back during a town hall in Queens, asserting that citizens must exercise their rights. She boldly stated, “If they want to make it illegal, they are welcome to come and take me.” She stood firm in her position, claiming that her actions were neither inappropriate nor unlawful.

This ongoing back-and-forth highlights the growing divide between federal immigration enforcement and progressive leaders who advocate for immigrant rights.
