As the iconic album “Infest” by Papa Roach approaches its 25th anniversary in 2025, the band is gearing up for a grand celebration. Frontman Jacoby Shaddix shared exciting details in an interview with 99.7 The Blitz, revealing a multifaceted commemoration for this significant milestone.
Shaddix disclosed that Papa Roach has been diligently working on multiple fronts. “Right now, early in the year, we’ve been working on a bunch of new music,” he stated. “And so we’re essentially pulling the slingshot back. 2025 is gonna be a big year for Papa Roach. It’s the 25th anniversary of our first album Infest. We’ve got a book, we’ve got tours, we’ve got the whole nine. And we’ve got a whole new batch of music that we’re going to drop. And so new music will probably be coming, like, later in the year — third or fourth quarter.”
The anticipation for Papa Roach’s 25th-anniversary celebration doesn’t stop there. Shaddix emphasized the band’s creative energy during this period of preparation. “It’s good to get a little calm before the storm, and so I’m taking this year and just creating tons of music, writing for Papa Roach, writing with other artists and really just being as creative as possible.”
Reflecting on the monumental success of “Infest,” which boasts hits like “Last Resort,” “Broken Home,” and “Between Angels And Insects,” Shaddix highlighted the album’s impact. “Infest” has achieved remarkable sales, surpassing 3 million copies in the United States alone and an additional 1 million in Europe. Papa Roach’s playful nod to their classic track “Last Resort” by releasing a “cut my life into pizzas” pizza cutter last November adds a touch of humor to their ongoing celebration.
As the clock ticks closer to 2025, fans can expect a comprehensive and immersive experience from Papa Roach, blending nostalgia with the excitement of new music and creative endeavors.
