FBI’s Dan Bongino Responds to Rumors and Shares Agency Update

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to clear the air about ongoing rumors and provide updates on the agency’s current efforts. In his post, Bongino stood firmly behind FBI Director Kash Patel, addressing speculation about Patel’s personal life and the broader mission of the FBI.

“It’s not easy staying silent while false narratives swirl,” Bongino wrote. “But public service means putting the focus on the people—not ourselves.” He made it clear that any claims attacking Director Patel’s work ethic or professionalism are completely unfounded. According to Bongino, Patel works long hours, often spending 10 to 12 hours a day in meetings focused on national security, counter-terrorism, and international law enforcement collaboration.

Bongino didn’t hold back when addressing immigration. He stressed that the FBI is working around the clock on task forces to identify and deport individuals who pose a threat to public safety. “If you’re here to do harm, your time is up,” he stated. He also highlighted how these operations are expected to increase, with a clear commitment from the administration to strengthen border enforcement.

Protecting children remains a top priority for the FBI. Bongino pointed to the success of “Operation Restoring Justice,” which recently led to the arrest of 764 child predators across the country. “If you harm a child, we will find you,” he warned.

Bongino also touched on high-profile investigations that are moving forward, including the attack on Representative Steve Scalise, the Nashville shooting, and even revisiting cases like Crossfire Hurricane and COVID-era controversies. He emphasized that the agency is collaborating with the Department of Justice on the Epstein investigation, which involves sensitive materials and victim testimonies.

In terms of internal operations, Bongino said the FBI is working hard to manage its budget wisely. Weekly meetings with financial and tech leadership are helping the agency eliminate waste and boost efficiency. “This is your FBI,” he reminded the public. “We’re doing everything we can to serve you better.”

He closed his update by thanking the public for staying engaged and promised more developments in the weeks ahead. “We welcome your feedback and accountability,” Bongino added. “There’s more to come.”
