Cyndi Lauper Announces Her Farewell Tour

Cyndi Lauper has announced the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, marking the end of an iconic era in her music career.

The tour kicks off on Oct. 18 in Montreal, Canada, with a follow-up show in Toronto. Lauper will travel across the U.S., stopping in major cities like New York City, Boston, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more, before ending in Chicago on Dec. 5.

Tickets will be available for presale starting June 4, with general sales beginning June 7. Fans eager to see Lauper perform one last time can find the full list of concert dates below.

Lauper, known for her vibrant personality and eclectic style, was recently featured in a documentary titled Let the Canary Sing, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival last year. Reflecting on the documentary, Lauper shared her initial surprise:

“When I was first approached, I said, ‘A documentary? I’m not dead yet!’”

She added:

“But if anybody was going to tell my story—the good, the bad, and the ugly; the missteps and the good steps; the triumphs and the not-so-triumphant—it would be [director] Alison Ellwood. She’s a wonderful filmmaker. I feel honored.”

At 70, Lauper continues to prioritize her health and wellness, as she discussed in an interview with The Healthy earlier this year. “I still have four vocal lessons a week because if I take care of my voice, my voice will take care of me,” she explained. Lauper also emphasized the importance of physical fitness in her routine. “I do aerobics and yoga, and I also do weights to keep my strength. That’s important to me. Mick Jagger still runs. I don’t know how, but I can’t. I do run a little because I wanna be able to run on stage.”

With her farewell tour, Lauper promises to deliver unforgettable performances, celebrating a career that has spanned decades and touched countless fans.
