The Heart-Wrenching Inheritance Dolores O’Riordan Left To Cranberries Members

When someone becomes publicly known for their talents, skills, face, and personal life, it’s almost impossible to regain their privacy. Privacy is extremely rare in the world of celebrities, especially if they’ve touched people’s souls with their music, voice, and existence. Everything that happens to celebrities becomes a matter of discussion, and there is no going back from that.

While some celebrities can endure this for the rest of their lives, others may not be able to. We have many examples in the rock world where a celebrity could not tolerate living so publicly, which destroyed their mental and physical health. But this also means that fans accept and embrace who they are completely. Most fans even embody the music of a musician, idolize their thoughts and words, and use their life choices as an example to make their own dreams come true.

The Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan left the world too soon in 2018 in a tragic way. This affected the band members so strongly that they didn’t continue their music after her death. The band made an exception of releasing one last album after O’Riordan died, and that was considered to be her will.

Dolores O’Riordan’s Legacy

Dolores O’Riordan and Noel Hogan had written and recorded eleven songs together. There were email transactions between the singer and Hogan, including vocals for their new album, and Hogan found everything to be amazing. These recordings were meant to be The Cranberries’ next album, and that is why O’Riordan was recording.

The recordings were stored in O’Riordan’s personal hard drive in her house, and this was discovered after her death. According to Hogan, no one wanted to do anything without O’Riordan, but he felt like this one last album was necessary and implied that this was what the singer would have wanted.

He said:

“We will do this album and then that will be it. No one wants to do this without Dolores. So there’s a song called ‘In the End’, it’s the last song on the album, and it just kind of summed up the whole album and the band. Because it’s definitely the end of it for us. So we’ve called it that.”

O’Riordan’s death happened unexpectedly. One moment, she was talking to the band about a new album and working on it. The next thing, she had a phone call with her mother at 2 A.M, and then accidentally drowned in a tub while under the influence of alcohol. Living her life so publicly throughout her life, the details of O’Riordan’s death were also in the public eye, and the album ‘In the End’ symbolizes it.
