Metallica and ‘Stranger Things’ launch new merchandise inspired by the Hellfire Club

The band wrote, “Eddie, this one’s for you,” to announce the line. Metallica and Stranger Things have collaborated on a new line of Hellfire Club-themed merchandise. The metal band’s 1986 song ‘Master Of Puppets’ has recently experienced a massive resurgence after it was featured in the fourth season finale of the Netflix series. Eddie Munson (portrayed by Joseph Quinn) plays guitar in the Upside Down to distract a swarm of demon bats guarding the lair of the evil villain Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).

In addition to Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas Sinclair, Munson is the leader of the Hawkins High Hellfire Club, which plays Dungeons & Dragons (Caleb McLaughlin). Metallica was inspired by the members’ Hellfire Club shirts to create their own version of the tee. Eddie, this is for you, they wrote in the line’s announcement. “We’re having the most metal Hellfire Club meeting ever, so we’re recruiting “lost sheep” and outsiders to join. Do you believe you are qualified? Then get dressed” Metallica x Stranger Things merchandise is now available at the band’s official store, the Netflix shop, and Probity Merch (UK).

Fans can purchase a Raglan-sleeve jersey for £32.99, a t-shirt for £24.99, and a hoodie for £44.99. Each item features the Hellfire Club logo and emblem as well as the iconic Metallica logo. Both the t-shirt and jersey feature two guitar graphics engulfed in orange flames, one black and one white. Check out the preview image in the aforementioned announcement post. Joseph Quinn recently met Metallica and played music with them backstage at Lollapalooza 2022. James Hetfield and company honored Eddie Munson during their headlining performance at the Chicago festival. As Metallica performed the classic single, footage from Quinn’s ‘Master Of Puppets’ scene was shown on the big screen. The song garnered Metallica their first UK Top 40 single in fourteen years, as well as their very first entry into the Billboard Hot 100. In addition, online streams of ‘Master Of Puppets’ have increased significantly. Riding this renewed interest, the band has released a brand-new official lyric video for the song.
