Some artists in music history devoted their lives to their craft, and their contributions have been widely respected and cherished throughout time. During a recent interview with Fox News, Kid Rock named a musician who falls in the same category and described him as the most important American musician of all time.
“I don’t think there is anything more important in country music, if not American music, than Hank Williams,” said Kid Rock, arguing that Williams is not only a country musician but a national treasure. “One of the greatest songwriters of all time. And I think other songwriters would be in agreement.”
Hank Williams is a cultural icon who has been nicknamed ‘The King Of Country Music’ in popular culture. He was a respected figure due to his contributions to the genre. Although Kid Rock didn’t have a chance to perform with Williams, he shared the same stage with his son Hank Williams Jr. and covered one of his songs titled ‘A Country Boy Can Survive.’
Beechwood Hall, Williams’ property in Franklin, Tennessee, is now facing the threat of destruction. The property is of great historical importance and value, but an investment group is currently considering building a new house on it. Sadly, Williams never had the chance to live on the estate, as he passed away shortly after purchasing it.
