John Lennon’s lookalike son Julian, 59, makes rare public appearance at the MTV EMAs 2022

John Lennon’s son made a rare public appearance this weekend as he took to the red carpet at the MTV EMAs.

He accessorised with layered necklaces, a hoop earring and tinted sunglasses, similar to what his father would wear.

Julian presented an award at the EMAs for the Best Longform Video, with the gong going to Taylor Swift.

His appearance comes after the musician recently reunited with his dad’s Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney in an airport lounge.

Julian Lennon sported an all-black ensemble, consisting of black skinny jeans, a black v-neck t-shirt, and a stylish leather jacket.

Julian Lennon accessorised with layered gold necklaces, hoop earrings and tinted glasses, similar to what his father, John Lennon would have worn.

Julian Lennon presented the award for Best Longform Video, with the gong going to Taylor Swift, for her 10-minute version of her hit All Too Well (Taylor’s Version). She beat stars like the Foo Fighters and Stormzy for the award.

Julian Lennon was 17 when his father John was murdered

Julian Lennon, whose mother was John’s first wife Cynthia, was 17 years old when his father was shot and killed in December of 1980. Earlier this year, Julian told how difficult it was to watch his father’s posthumous Glastonbury performance with former bandmate Sir Paul McCartney. He told Mojo magazine: “I watched it on YouTube — and I kind of went: ‘Errrr . . . I don’t know if I’m comfortable with that.’ It shocked me.”

Julian Lennon took to Twitter last Saturday to share a snap of himself with his father’s former bandmate, Sir Paul McCartney. Julian wrote in the caption: “It’s Amazing who you run into in an airport Lounge! None other than Uncle Paul…. So, so lovely, and what are the chances… Thankful….”
