JAY WEINBERG EXPLAINS WHY IT TAKES SLIPKNOT SO LONG TO RELEASE NEW MUSIC

In a recent interview with Louder Sound, Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg discussed the making of their forthcoming album, The End, So Far. Weinburg explained why it had taken so long to release a new album. In 2017, after completing the tour in support of their 2014 album ‘.5: The Gray Chapter,’ the band began working on their upcoming album ‘We Are Not Your Kind.’ The album was released after two years, and fans were pleased enough with it to make the wait worthwhile.

In 2021, Corey Taylor informed their audience that their seventh studio album would be mixed in 2022 and released the following year. The band announced in July that the upcoming album ‘The End, So Far’ would be released on September 30, 2022. In addition, the band has already released the album’s tracks ‘The Dying Song (Time To Sing)’ and ‘Yen.’ Recently, Jay Weinberg revealed that it took so long for the band to release records because each member contributed unique concepts. Each member of the band approached the albums with a unique perspective and inspiration. Weinberg stated that the process takes so long because they attempt to reflect each member’s individual taste and talent in a harmonious manner.

Jay Weinberg said: “We are nine people who are extremely passionate about what we do, so when it comes to the creative side of things, you have nine creative voices jammed into a song. Nonetheless, I’m pleased to say that, at the end of the day, we all understand one another’s strengths and contributions, as well as how we collaborate and respect one another in this regard. nd these qualities ultimately shine through. Because there are so many people and so many ideas and so much inspiration, it takes us a long time to create something that we’re proud of. You’re probably aware that the nine of us draw very different inspirations from one another. Therefore, when we filter what we want to do creatively through the Slipknot voice, we end up with something completely new, filtered through our tastes, abilities, and whatever else.” Slipknot members and fans eagerly anticipate the release of ‘The End, So Far’ The album will be released by Roadrunner Records on September 30 as the follow-up to 2014’s “We Are Not Your Kind.”
