Ex-Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Buckethead Confirms His Most Important Guitars Were Stolen

Buckethead, former guitarist for Guns N’ Roses, announced on his official Facebook page that ten of his most valuable and personal guitars were stolen. Buckethead became the lead guitarist for Guns N’ Roses in 2000. The group attempted to collaborate with him, but his prominent stage persona prevented their efforts. The chicken bucket he wore on his head and the face mask he wore helped him establish his character. He did not alter his appearance for the GN’R and stayed true to the persona he had cultivated.

After his tenure with Guns N’ Roses, he worked on various solo and band projects. He was a member of a number of bands and musicians, including Praxis, the Frankenstein Brothers, and Brain. He’s released thirty solo albums throughout his career. Buckethead revealed in a recent Facebook post that ten of his most valuable guitars had been stolen. Adding that he would never be able to replace them, he described it as a significant loss. He also asked his fans for assistance in locating two Studio Gibson Les Pauls so he could begin rebuilding his collection. The musician’s Facebook post regarding his stolen guitars read:

“Ten of the most valuable guitars I’ve ever owned were stolen. It is an enormous loss. I’ll never be able to truly replace them, but I’m looking for anyone who knows of instruments that are comparable. Hopefully, someone can be of assistance. I am attempting to acquire two Studio Gibson Les Pauls.” In 2010, Buckethead began releasing albums under the concept of his fictitious park, Buckethead Pikes. The length of the albums released under this concept was roughly thirty minutes. He has released 294 ‘Pike Series’ mini albums. The musician has performed his music on tour for a number of years, with the most recent tour occurring in 2019.
