Drake Confirms New Reunion Concert Date with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne

Drake has confirmed a new date for his canceled Young Money reunion concert with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne following his recent bout with COVID-19. The show was originally scheduled for Monday, August 1, but was postponed hours before the scheduled start time. On his Instagram story, Drake revealed he had tested positive for COVID-19, but he assured fans he would reschedule the concert “to the SOONEST date possible.” Instead, the concert will take place on Saturday, August 6 at the original venue, the 16,000-person capacity Budweiser Stage in Toronto. The concert will conclude a trilogy of events hosted by Drake for his “October World Weekend” concert series, which the rapper says will precede the global expansion of his own music festival, OVO Fest.

Drake announced the new date on Instagram, writing, “Negative test…positive outcome…this was the only date available until the fall, and because the family is so solid, everyone is flying back in to make it happen… SEE YOU SATURDAY. young moulaaa.” Tickets for tonight’s performance are still available for a limited time here. Although the reunion will only feature Drake, Minaj, and Lil Wayne, Mack Maine, Lil Twist, and Corey Guns are also members of the collective. Three compilation albums have been released by the label: We Are Young Money, Rich Gang, and Young Money: Rise of an Empire.
