While dogs are often called man’s best friend, some people simply don’t deserve these loyal companions. This truth hit home for the RSPCA staff when police officers brought them a severely matted dog, rescued from a negligent owner.
The dog, named Barney, was in such a dreadful state that it was almost impossible to tell there was a dog beneath all that fur. The staff were shocked and heartbroken, but they were determined to help Barney feel like a happy pup again.
It was the least they could do for him at that moment.
