David Crosby, a prominent member of CSNY, recently posted a message on his official Twitter account criticizing Roger Waters for his recent controversial political comments made during a CNN interview. The singer referred to Waters as “nuts” for his remarks. Roger Waters of Pink Floyd was recently interviewed on CNN about his ongoing tour, ‘This Is Not a Drill Tour.’ However, rather than his current musical endeavors, the rocker’s political statements garnered significant media attention. After calling Joe Biden a “war criminal” over Ukraine and claiming Taiwan is a part of China, he was met with severe opposition. Michael Smerconish, the interviewer, steered the conversation toward political views, which led to a heated exchange. Waters blamed the Biden administration for failing to prevent the Ukraine invasion of Russia. He continued by defending China’s insistence that Taiwan is an integral part of Communist China. David Crosby, a fellow musician, had one of the negative reactions to the rock star.
Crosby, who had previously demonstrated his dislike for Waters by stating that he did not appeal to him, responded this time to a tweet discussing Waters’ most recent controversial statements. A Twitter user referred to Waters’ words as “driveling sh*t” and tagged Crosby in the caption of the CNN interview video of Waters. The singer responded to this by stating that Roger Waters is “a little crazy,” implying that he disagrees with his recent political stance. A user of Twitter wrote: “Man, I’m throwing in the towel if David Crosby, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, or John Fogerty ever release the kind of drivel that so many rock musicians have been producing recently,” said the speaker. David Crosby responded: “I’m afraid Roger’s a bit nuts.” Below are the tweets and the CNN interview with Roger Waters.
