In a deeply disturbing case, a social media figure known for his outspoken criticism of Donald Trump has been arrested in connection with a multi-state child exploitation scheme. Joseph Brandon, a TikTok creator and podcaster with a strong anti-Trump stance, was taken into custody following an FBI raid and now faces serious federal charges.
According to court documents, Brandon allegedly worked with Michael Bledsoe to impersonate a young girl online in an attempt to solicit explicit images from Bledsoe’s underage relative. The pair reportedly used platforms like Snapchat and Kik to carry out the scheme, which involved manipulating and exploiting the 15-year-old victim.
The story first gained traction online after a post on X (formerly Twitter) by the user I Meme Therefore I Am revealed the charges and shared videos of Brandon criticizing former President Trump. One clip showed Brandon ranting about Trump, saying, “He’s worried about Deon Sanders and NFL signings while Americans are struggling—he should be protecting the Constitution from fascists!”
That same post also included news footage from local media covering the FBI’s investigation. A reporter from the scene stated that agents traced Brandon’s IP address to a home in Knoxville, Tennessee, using tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and chat logs between Brandon and the victim. Bledsoe, his alleged accomplice, is from Michigan, and his home was also raided by federal authorities.
The case has sparked outrage across the political spectrum, with many expressing disgust over the nature of the crimes. Despite Brandon’s past political statements and online presence, law enforcement officials are focused solely on the serious and criminal nature of the allegations.
As the investigation continues, both men are expected to face multiple charges related to the exploitation of a minor. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
