In a recent interview with Guitar World, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth explained how he ended up working with Ice-T on the band’s most recent single, “Night Stalkers.” Throughout their career, Megadeth has endured a few difficult periods. David Ellefson, the group’s former member, was involved in several scandals. Nonetheless, it appears that the tides have shifted, and Megadeth is once again on the rise.

On September 2, 2022, their highly anticipated new album ‘The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!’ will be released. Megadeth released ‘Night Stalkers’ featuring Ice-T along with a music video for fans to enjoy prior to the official release of the album. Dave Mustaine revealed in a new conversation that he was an Army Ranger when he first met Ice-T. This piqued Mustaine’s interest, as he desired to collaborate with a musician with a military background. Later, when Mustaine requested a spoken part, Ice-T provided him with so many excellent options that it was difficult to choose. Dave Mustaine describes his collaboration with Ice-T as follows:

“I have known Ice-T for a very long time. When we first met in Los Angeles, he informed me that he was an Army Ranger, so it was only natural for me to ask him to do this, as I wanted a great musician with military credibility. I asked him to perform a spoken role, and he provided me with so many excellent options that it was difficult to choose.” Below, you can view “Night Stalkers.”
