Launch of Apple Music Sessions with Carrie Underwood

Apple has introduced Apple Music Sessions in spatial audio, which debuted with a short selection of songs by Carrie Underwood and Tenille Townes. Both artists recorded their sessions in the Nashville, Tennessee studio of Apple Music. The new program grants users access to exclusive spatial audio releases recorded in Apple’s music studios around the globe. The performances are also filmed to provide live music videos to subscribers.

It’s an exciting time for Underwood, whose new album, Denim & Rhinestones, debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, becoming her tenth album to debut in the top three on this chart out of ten releases. The album debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the Top Album Sales chart. Billboard Country Update reported that the album sold 31,000 copies upon its release. Some Hearts, her debut album as the reigning American Idol champion, debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart in December 2005, sixteen and a half years ago. This debut album dominated the charts for a whopping 27 weeks.

Following summer festival appearances, Underwood’s US tour with special guest Jimmie Allen is scheduled to begin on October 15 in Greenville, South Carolina, and run through March 2023, concluding on March 17 in Seattle. On August 3, ABC will air her recent headlining performance at the 49th annual CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. She is also scheduled to perform on the July 30 edition of WSM-Grand AM’s Ole Opry show, which will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry induction of Barbara Mandrell, one of Underwood’s great female country star ancestors. The Californian vocalist is renowned for twenty years of chart-topping hits, including “Sleeping Single in a Double Bed,” “(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don’t Want To Be Right,” and “One Of A Kind Pair Of Fools.”
